Frontiers in Blockchain - Ethical Web3 special edition

Call for Papers (CFP)

You're invited to submit your research to the Frontiers in Blockchain special issue, "Ethical Issues, Challenges, and Solutions in Metaverse and Web3," Co-edited by Bella Irons, Executive Director of aWeb3c. This edition explores the emerging ethical dimensions of Web3 technologies. The CFP is now CLOSED.

Background

The Web3 Metaverse is rapidly reshaping social and economic interaction, introducing immersive environments where data is currency, AI avatars are the workforce, and online communities function as new societal hubs. As this digital landscape evolves, it presents unprecedented ethical challenges—ranging from data privacy and virtual crime to the governance of avatar behavior—demanding new frameworks for trust. In response, global organizations are calling for proactive ethical governance to address risks and ensure responsible design in an increasingly automated world.
